Darren and Tiffany met October 2003 in Park City when they were both in high school. They went to different schools, but they were both in a club called DECA, which was about business and marketing. They met eachother at a DECA conference in Park City in October 2003, in a fastfood place at lunchtime. Darren lent Tiffany his Woods Cross soccer hoodie, which he "accidentally" forgot to get it back from her that day.
Tiffany recalls how they got engaged:
"We got engaged on Christmas Eve 2008 at my Great Grandma's old house in Montana. We talked about getting married for a long time and I was starting to thing he'd never propose to me! We go to Montana every year for Christmas because most of my family lives there. Right when we were getting to my Grandma's house for a Christmas party, he told me he needed to stop somewhere else really quick, but he wouldn't tell me where. It was actually really funny because he got a bit lost and then he finally asked me how to get to my Granny's old house, but what's even more funny is that I didn't know either! We spent about an hour driving around old neighborhoods looking for her house untill we actually found it. When we got there, he asked me to get out of the car. He got down on one knee in the snow in about 10 below Montana weather and asked me to marry him. It was really special because my Great Grandma (we all called her Granny) passed away about a year before, right before my birthday and Christmas. She was sick for a while and I had mentioned once that I really wished that she'd be able to be there when I got married. He knew that I hadn't taken her death well and I missed her a lot so it was really nice and sweet."

Tiffany recalls
the best part of the day:
"It was nice to see it all together after so much planning! And almost everything turned out even better than I imagined. I really really loved the flowers and the cake, they looked so awesome! I really left a lot of the decisions up to the cake baker and the florist so it was so great to see how awesome they did! Definitely better than what I could have come up with on my own! I just wish I could have kept that stuff forever! I think that the best part of everything were the toasts that my dad, the maid of honor and the best man gave though. Everyone of them made me cry! It was great because they were each special and really from the heart."

Advice to Other Couples:
"Don't stress, especially over the small stuff. Its so much better to try to actually have FUN planning your wedding rather than stressing out and go crazy! I think the best thing to do is spread things out and get lots of friends and family to help you. If you've got bridesmaids use them! There's no reason you need to do everything yourself!"
