The advice that we would give newly married couples and those planning a wedding would be two things, 1) don't sweat the small stuff, if it isn't going to affect your future life with your spouse it isn't important enough!!! 2) Don't forget to 'date' each other even after you get engaged or get married, it keeps things fresh and it's always fun!

Becky recalls how they met:
"We met in the summer of 2007 through a bunch of different connections. First we were talking online on a chat room, and when I found out he off-roads with his truck I started talking to my brother about him, who actually thought he remembered Aaron because of his truck from a big off-roading convention, after that, Aaron and I actually met at the Sugarhouse Park to go for a walk (that's 'our' place now). He then asked me on a 'date' to go off-roading with him and his friend after work."

The Proposal:
"We were engaged a few months after our first off-roading experience, on October 19! Aaron and I always had Friday night dates, and the Monday prior to our engagement he asked me out on a date and told me to dress nicely for Friday. I always dressed nicely for our dates so I thought something was up, but didn't really think anything of it. Aaron is a mechanic so most of the time we spent together was after he got off of work, in his mechanic uniform, when he showed up that Friday for our date, he was dressed in a dress shirt, tie, dress pants, and totally cleaned up!!! VERY UNUSUAL! He took me downtown to Temple square and we went on the carriage ride up to Memorial Park and around the sites downtown, after we finished our ride he just kept looking at his watch, finally he told me that the ride ended much sooner than he thought and our reservations weren't for a while. So in my heels and all we walked all over temple square, around a couple of blocks, and finally I made Aaron carry my shoes because my feet hurt so bad. We eventually made it to the Roof restuarant for our reservations, and had an amazing dinner... even though Aaron just figited all night which whatever was in his pockets! After dinner he took me to go look at one of the fountains on Temple square, but it wasn't on so I was ready to go home. I started to walk towards the truck and he grabbed my hand and took to the spot where he proposed, before he proposed I noticed a guy hiding in the flowers in all black with a video camera. Aaron got down on one knee and was so nervous fumbling around he just handed me the ring and said I love you. Obviously I said yes, and his dad popped out of the bushes with his video camera, recording the whole proposal (which he didn't get because night vision wasn't on)."

Aaron and I love country music so we wanted to incorporate that into our reception, and the song we did our first dance to was the song that always played when anything significant happened in our relationship. Also, during the appetizer hour all the music that was played was some of my favorite classics and just reminded me of a 'classier' time in life!

Our favorite part of the wedding besides getting married was the food and guests at the wedding. The least favorite part was having to deal with the mishap from the florist totally forgetting all the flowers for the aisle and the centerpieces.
